she can’t even walk much anymore
she’s gone downhill since my dad died

spring of 2010
holding her as a puppy
after my dog got shot

and when she kicks and growls in her sleep

i was scared to death when you had that tumor
but I’m happy it wasn’t serious
and we got it removed

i don’t wanna say goodbye, not again
i've watched you grow too fast
but they say this is the average lifespan of your kind

and when it’s time to see you go
i'll still ask:
